More than just a new design

A website relaunch is not a facelift. It's a chance to rethink the technical foundation, structure and story of your online presence, and to remove exactly the bottlenecks that have crept in over the years: performance, security, findability, conversion.

A website is often the first point of contact between customer and company. If it feels slow, dated or confusing, you lose trust before you could even build it. So every relaunch starts with an honest inventory. What stays, what goes, what needs a complete rethink?

We combine over ten years of web development experience with a structured approach: strategy, concept, design, development, SEO and go-live from one source. You don't get an island solution but a platform that can grow with your business.

When is a website relaunch worth it?

Three scenarios where a relaunch stops being cosmetic and becomes economically necessary, because the existing site is actively doing damage.

Outdated design & poor usability

When your website no longer looks contemporary and navigation becomes a hurdle for visitors, a relaunch modernises the design and lifts usability to today's standards.

Poor performance & slow load times

When the site loads slowly and stutters on mobile devices, bounce rates climb. A relaunch optimises performance for fast, smooth use on every device, from desktop down to a shaky 4G connection.

Weak visibility & security gaps

When rankings are weakening and outdated software carries known vulnerabilities, a relaunch tackles both at once: we improve SEO factors in a technically clean way and close security gaps with an up-to-date stack.

Our solutions for your relaunch

We know the common platforms from years of practice and choose them based on your requirements, not on house politics. Eight building blocks that we use individually or in combination, depending on the project.

Content management systems

A content management system is the basis for maintaining content without developer help. The common CMSs often differ only in nuances, but exactly those nuances decide the right system for your project.

WordPress

WordPress is the reliable all-rounder for websites, blogs and small online shops. We build your site with WordPress precisely to your requirements, with a clean theme and no plugin sprawl.

TYPO3

TYPO3 is the heavy-duty option for demanding corporate sites. A secure system that runs smoothly even under heavy traffic, with regular updates and an architecture that handles complexity well.

Which CMS is best?

Not sure which CMS suits you? No problem: our experts explain the pros and cons and recommend the system that truly fits your requirements, not our capacity planning.

HTML & CSS / Angular

If your site is rarely updated, a hand-built solution with HTML, CSS and custom development can make more sense. For more interactive applications, Angular comes into play: modern, responsive and quick to develop thanks to the framework.

Web design

Intuitive web design decides the first seconds on your site. We work closely with our partner agencies, create custom designs or adapt existing WordPress templates precisely to your business.

Search engine optimisation

We combine on-page methods (keywords, content, internal linking) with technical optimisation: structured data, performance, clean markup. The relaunch becomes an SEO boost, not an SEO brake.

Continuous Support

After go-live we can take over ongoing operations: hosting, maintenance, updates, page speed, security patches and continuous development, so your relaunch hasn't turned back into a renovation project six months later.

Step by step to your website relaunch

A relaunch is not just a new design. It's a structured process from the first briefing to go-live. Here's what it looks like with us.

01

Analysis & calculation

We assess your existing system and decide whether updating the current infrastructure is enough or whether a new solution makes more sense. On that basis we calculate the effort transparently.

02

Concept & design

We work with designers or UX partners and align the information architecture with your audience's search intent, backed by solid keyword analysis.

03

Technical concept

A detailed requirements document describes goals, features, content and interfaces. It is the basis for our technical implementation proposals, and for a binding effort estimate.

04

Development & QA

Custom development with responsive design and rigorous testing. We verify rendering on all relevant browsers and devices — before anything goes live.

05

Content, SEO & go-live

We migrate your content, implement 301 redirects cleanly, apply search engine optimisation to the new structure and switch over at a planned time, with monitoring in case anything needs fine-tuning.

A partnership on equal terms

We put together a package that fits your scope and take you along at every step. No consulting platitudes — honest recommendations, even when they work against our short-term order book.

FAQ

How long does a website relaunch take?
That depends heavily on scope: from a few weeks for a pure theme change, to two or three months for a full-blown relaunch with a new design and reworked information architecture, up to several months for complex platform migrations with custom interfaces. In the initial consultation we clarify the scope and agree the timeframe with you transparently.
Can we keep using our existing website during the relaunch?
Yes. We build the relaunch in parallel on a staging environment, so your live site keeps running undisturbed. Only after your approval and a final test run do we switch over, typically in a planned window that your visitors barely notice.
What happens to our SEO rankings after the relaunch?
A relaunch is always a moment where rankings can wobble, if you let it. We prevent that with clean keyword mapping between old and new pages, complete 301 redirects, a verified XML sitemap and preservation of all important SEO factors like title tags, meta descriptions and structured data. In our experience rankings recover quickly and then benefit in the medium term from the better technical foundation.
Do we migrate hosting or keep our provider?
Both are possible. If your current provider fits the new application, we keep it; otherwise we migrate to faster infrastructure. We review your current setup in the initial consultation and tell you honestly whether a switch makes sense or whether we can build on what you have.
What does a website relaunch cost?
A relaunch is always project-specific. Scope, complexity, platform choice, design depth and migration effort all play a role. In the (free) initial consultation we sketch the scope together and estimate the effort transparently. You receive a written estimate before anything is invoiced. For larger projects we can also help you identify suitable funding programmes.
