Through an interface that works in one direction. The ERP stays the leading source, TYPO3 takes the data and enriches it with what is only needed on the website, such as application examples or imagery. That way nobody maintains the same figure in two places.
We need the site in several languages. How does that work in practice?
The structure is built once and each language hangs off it. Translations can be exported, edited outside and imported again, or maintained directly in the backend. What matters is the rule for what happens when a language version is missing, and we settle that together before the first page exists.
How long does a relaunch with a migration take?
It depends on what exists, above all on the number of templates and on how much legacy data is meant to come along. After the survey we give you a range and tell you what drives it. Unrealistic dates help nobody, least of all shortly before go-live.
