Do you have an office in Esslingen?
No, our only location is Stuttgart-Feuerbach. At 15 kilometres we would have little use for a second one. Meetings in Esslingen are the normal case for us, not something that needs special justification.
Can several departments work in the same backend without getting in each other's way?
Yes, that is one of the strengths of TYPO3. We set up user groups and page permissions so that each department sees exactly its own area and nothing else. Someone who only maintains press releases gets to see only the fields needed for that.
We are stuck on an old TYPO3 version. How do you approach that?
First we look at the installed extensions, because that is almost always where the effort of a jump to the current LTS is decided. After that you get a plan with the steps and the places where it will get awkward. The migration runs on a copy, and the live system stays untouched until everything holds.
Do you run editor training at our offices?
Yes, and with such a short trip it makes sense. Training on real content and on people’s own machines tends to stick better than a general introduction over a shared screen.
