TYPO3 Agency Heilbronn

From Stuttgart to Heilbronn is just under 40 minutes along the A81. On TYPO3 projects we drive that stretch mainly at the beginning, when the structure gets decided and a lot of people should be sitting around one table for it. Later it grows quieter, because a cleanly set up backend answers most follow-up questions by itself. And so you know where you stand: aceArt is an official Silver Member of the TYPO3 Association.

TYPO3 for websites with several audiences

Anyone running a larger website in Heilbronn-Franken is usually serving more than one audience with it. An automotive supplier addresses purchasing and job applicants at the same time, trade and logistics speak to customers and partners, and around the education campus come prospective students, teaching staff and the press. Sites like these grow over years. At some point the same detail sits in four places, in four versions, and three of them are out of date.

TYPO3 handles that differently from a system in which every page carries its own text. Dates, contacts, locations or course offerings exist as records and are output wherever they are needed. Correct a detail once and it is correct everywhere. We have no office in Heilbronn and we do not claim otherwise. Named contacts, a ticket system with a visible state and staging environments for interim results carry the everyday work across the 50 kilometres.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Heilbronn?
No, we keep no address in Heilbronn-Franken; our location is Stuttgart-Feuerbach. We travel to Heilbronn for the meetings where several people are needed in the same room, and work remotely in between.
The same detail sits in several places on our site. Can that be pulled together?
Yes, and it is one of the reasons to use TYPO3. Contacts, dates, locations or downloads exist as their own records and are merely embedded on the pages. One correction therefore takes effect everywhere at once, instead of being chased through four places by hand.
How does a move to a new LTS version work?
On a copy. We pull the installation onto a staging environment, update it there, check every extension one by one and write down what has to be replaced. The switch only happens once that runs through. At best the live site notices nothing at all.
We run an ERP in house. Can TYPO3 pull data from it?
As a rule yes. We fetch articles, locations or dates through an interface and settle which system stays the leading source. Without that decision two truths appear, and in our experience the wrong one ends up on the website.
