We come in person for the meetings that matter, meaning the kickoff, workshops with the editorial team and the sign-off. Do you have an office in Mannheim?
No, we have no premises in Mannheim, only in Stuttgart-Feuerbach. The ICE takes a good half hour, which makes a meeting in Mannheim easier to arrange than some appointments inside a single large city. We come for the kickoff and workshops, and work remotely otherwise.
How many editors can one TYPO3 installation take?
The number is rarely the problem, the organisation is. We have seen installations with a handful of people where everyone got in each other way, and ones with many contributors that ran cleanly. What decides it is clear responsibility in the page tree and templates that leave little room for misunderstanding.
We have several subsidiaries with their own sites. Merge or keep them apart?
Usually merge, into one backend with separate areas. The effort for operation, updates and security then occurs once instead of five times, and a new feature becomes available everywhere. Keeping them apart makes sense when a unit really is independent in legal or organisational terms.
What happens when a security advisory is published?
We receive the notices from the TYPO3 Security Group and check whether your installation is affected. If it is, we apply the update, and for critical issues at short notice. Afterwards you get a note on what was done and why.
